Alexion Superhero program: Nemesis

Problem: aHUS is a rare and sever disease. Many patients diagnosed with aHUS are pediatric. The disease is lifelong and chronic. Sick children must go to an infusion center every 2 weeks to receive infusions—possibly for the rest of their lives. The rate of skipping infusion sessions is high.

Solution:​​​​​​​ The NEMESIS program is designed to provide a more enjoyable infusion experience. It promotes treatment compliance by allowing children to personalize their “super serum” and enabling them to defeat their nemeses every 2 weeks while confined to an infusion chair. The program offers an AR game and an infusion kit (branded infusion bag, bandage, toys etc).
